Wardrobe became a passion of mine as soon as I started jumping onto as many crews as I could. I find joy in working one on one with actors, in the adrenaline rush of quick changes during performances, and in the connection to the team that I have found as both a Wardrobe Supervisor and as a crew member.
These skirts were are two full circle skirts combined to create these amazing Folklorico skirts. The four female identifying dancers quick changed out of their party dresses and into these amazing costumes in 30 seconds. It is my favorite quick change to date.
There were 500+ dresses that I was responsible for as the Wardrobe Supervisor and Lead Seamstress at Texas!
The show is set in the late 1800s in Palo Duro Canyon, Texas. The show was outdoors and included fireworks, live fire, quick changes, live animals and more. It was an incredible learning experience.
During the pandemic, theatre became virtual but costumes are not virtual. I was the Assistant Designer for and I was also able to help with Wardrobe for the show. The experience of digital theatre helped me learn to adapt and keep learning how to create within boundaries.
Together, Apart was devised at Auburn University and was filmed during the pandemic. It was exciting to learn about costuming for film rather than the stage.
This production of Eurydice was not like anything I had worked on before. There was rain on stage as well as a “river” that the actors had to dip themselves into every night. I learned how to take good care of costumes and elongate their lives for future performances.

The stones had full body paint during every performance.
Bring it on was full of quick changes and fueled my passion for wardrobe. It was also an opportunity to work on a modern piece mixed in with my love for period pieces.
Working on Bring It On helped me grow as a dresser in just the vast amount of costumes that we were keeping up with. It was a stepping stone into keeping up with hundreds of costumes at Texas! The Outdoor Musical.
I had the fun opportunity to work with across Moira Thompson’s hair every night for Bring It On in her role as Bridgett.
During my time as a costume shop assistant at Auburn University and as Wardrobe Lead at TEXAS! The Outdoor Musical, I have had the opportunity to construct an array of costumes and learn many techniques. I am the most proud of the costumes I was able to both design and construct such as Anna’s Spring Awakening Dress and Mother’s Eat Dessert First Apron.
